Description

After the incredible James Webb data became public and I started processing it I realized I had not really processed any deep sky objects in quite awhile and I also discovered new tools in PixInsight. I honestly didn't even want to look at my data after seeing such incredible images from Webb. I dug into some old SHO data I had and decided to give my Rosette Nebula another go. While creating a starless image for color processing I got carried away and made it into it's own image. I still have to go back and do the Lum data and combine it. The new Starnet did an amazing job removing the stars! This sure beats the old manual way!
Here is a first go at a starless Rosette. It certainly isn't James Webb quality data but I was pleasantly surprised.
