Description

This was the first try ever with my Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L and my kinda messy DIY EAF adaption. I was at first very disappointed by how the data turned out last Autumn, all my stars were weirdly triangle shaped over the whole FOV, and it definitely wasn't guiding trails. I suspected it might have been tilt due the belt I attached via a 3D printed ring, or the lens sacking. I managed to fix the starshape in PixInsight with the help of BlurXterminator pretty nicely though. Also I didn't have time back then to shoot RGB stars, so I had to fix the star colors here as well - to get rid of the famous teal and red stars. Overall, I'm amazed by how good the end result was, I didn't expect this at all, and I might keep using the lens, even though I wasn't convinced at first.
