Well... so almost a whole year later, i've revisited the andromeda galaxy. I'm still speechless how the color came out so naturally and easily, i didn't have to apply some crazy color balance, and any hard process at all!
I haven't completed this image yet: i want to get 4-5h on it. I can also see some linear color noise, i haven't applied dark frames too. But, i find this result really great. I will upload a new revision as soon as i get more data (if my cloudy skies permit heh)
This was also my first time working on each RGB channel. As i'm working with a bad quality lens (75-300mm) with a lot of chromatic aberration, i could spot some major issues on the blue and red channel; those already tend to be worse on a DSLR. The green channel was beautiful, sharp and the stars were perfect, without any halos. But when i've tried to apply it as a luminosity channel, my image got weirder. If anyone knows any processing tip, i would love to hear in the comments. Please also notify me if there's anything else i can correct, because i want this image to be the best it can be!!
