Description

This image captures a cloudy region in the much larger LBN 418 nebula. This image field captures only a small portion of LBN418 and lies on the western leg of the "Great Square of Pegasus" (between stars Scheat and Markab) . The field contains many background galaxies hiding behind some thin Milky Way clouds.  Notable galaxies are IC 5282, UGC 12326, LEDA 70392, 1666904, 1667599, 1671850. There are notable dense cores and molecular clouds from the PGCC catalog. There are also a number of visible Quasars that range in redshift from 0.200 to 2.142 (2.48 to 10.62 billion light years Lookback). These objects, information, background galaxies and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image.
