Description

This is just a snapshot of the PN, with the faint outer envelope barely registered. The central is so bright in both L and B that the exposures are smeared (mechanical shutter and why you should avoid them) which presented additional challenges in processing this southern counterpart to NGC6826, the Blinking Planetary. Seeing wasn't expecially good, with an average value of 2" (for a 50cm that isn't much).

The kaleidoscopic effect on some of the brighter stars is due the stars PSF having different shapes in the R and B bands. One more issue to deal with... or not.
