Description

I am quite fond of grand vistas so it shouldn't come as surprise that whenever I get a chance I try my hand at wide(er) field shots. I had these two nebulas on my to-do list for quite some time and as chances of going south enough for a fair shot at them dwindled through the years and not likely to occur for a rather long while I decided to bite the bullet and image them remotely. Unfortunately something happen during the night (mist in high desert?!) that caused the blue frames (an in lesser measure the red and green as well) to show bloating halos around the brighter stars, some of which is still rather evident in the finished image. On top of that the luminance frames seem not as sharp are they are usually are with this lens. Bottom line: not the sharpest image and certainly not as sharp I wished it to be. Be as it may it has a silver lining: there is a PN in the frame, a resolved PN at that!
