This colorful rendering of the trio is my last deep sky image for this season as the night skies are getting brighter.
«M 81/ NGC 3031-Bode`s Galaxy”, “M82/NGC3034- The Cigar Galaxy “ and “NGC3077”
Bodes galaxy M81, discovered by Johan Elert Bode in 1774.
The galaxy us a spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major, The big bear, about 12 million lightyears away from earth.
The galaxy has an active nucleus with a supermassive black hole.
The Cigar galaxy M82 a starburst galaxy, was also discovered by Johan E. Bode the same year, and lies in the same distance as M81.
NGC 3077 is a small, disrupted elliptical galaxy about 12 to 13 million lightyears from earth
