Description

Image of the colourful grand design Southern Pinwheel Galaxy M83

Messier 83 (M83) is a bright barred spiral galaxy located in the southern constellation Hydra, at a distance of 15.21 million light years from Earth.

This LRGB-image was captured with the Planewave CDK24 telescope and FLI PL09000 camera from Telescope Live in El Sauce Observatory, Chile.
Total exposure time: 480 minutes. LRGB 14:12:11:11 subs of 600s with each filter.

Processing with AstroPixelProcessor, Photoshop CC with AstroPanel V4.2, Astronomy Tools, Topaz Sharpen AI and Denoise Projects 3 plug-ins.
