Description

The seldom photographed IC5068 is only about 2 degrees south of the well-known Pelican Nebula. I like the streaky dust lanes paired with the lively narrowband emissions.

Here is an attempt with the Hubble palette, modified a little to better bring out the fine structures.

Surprisingly the OIII signal with the Canon and the dual band filter (Ha7nm, OIII7nm) was significantly stronger, although the ATIK had the narrower one (5nm).

The IDAS NB1-images (Canon) are used for the starcolors.

Dealing with the Hubblepaltette is still new territory for me, as I usually like the realistic colors.

I would be grateful for suggestions for improvement / criticism.
