Description

NGC 7640 is a galaxy is located in the constellation Andromeda, 38.8 million light-years from Earth. If you look at the lower part it becomes quite evident that this galaxy has experienced an interaction with another galaxy because the form is a bit odd. The galaxy is spiral-like but as we contemplate its edge this is difficult to reveal.

I had a lot of silly problems with my flats in this picture which explains that the background is not as deep as I hoped. Taken at f/8. Two hours of acquisition and then it was in the box. Enjoy a spike-free galaxy picture
