Description

This is an image of the sacred mushroom galaxy, which is in actual fact two interacting galaxies about 220 million light years away. According to Arp and Madore, it is considered a category 6a object, which is a  category that includes any object with a luminous ring around it and a displaced nuclei. I believe this is the first image of this object to be placed on Astrobin. It's also the first deep sky image i have taken with my Celestron F10 C9.25 edge. While not the best image I have taken, i learnt a lot so I am quite pleased. I hope you enjoy it.
