Description

This planetary nebula is in the constellation of Bootes. A fairly recent discovery by George Jacoby in 1995 this has a well earned reputation as one of the faintest planetary nebulae. I really struggled with the processing on this one. The Ha and Oiii signal is extremely faint and difficult to stretch enough to obtain decent detail. To add insult to injury, StarXTerminator which normally works well for me refused to cooperate and remove a number of stars.

Needless to say, this one gave me endless hours of frustration and a mediocre final image. This will do for the time being and I might go back and and attempt another try after going through some Adam Block and Bray Falls instructional videos. I think this target requires some processing tricks that are beyond my current skill set!
