Description

2023 Thanksgiving Night and the first Time I have imaged IC 410 and IC 405:  We arrived home from our supper with my Brother-in-law and his Wife and the night was clear, a little chilly and I couldn't make out many stars as usual due to light pollution.  However, I brought out my rig and setup at the bottom of the driveway as usual and decided on IC410 for the night.  I Stacked my Data in SIRIL, used BlurXterminator on the .fit result, removed the Background and Stretched in GraXpert, brought the image back into SIRIL and used the Histogram tool and SCNR then saved as a .jpeg and then used NoiseXterminator in PixInsight.  I was really amazed with the result.

Tadpoles Nebula
is a Nebula located in the constellation of Auriga in the northern hemisphere. Tadpoles Nebula's distance from Earth is 19,640.00 light years.Tadpoles Nebula also known as IC410 which is short for Index Catalogue number 410. The Index Catalogue is an update to the earlier NGC catalogue. It can't been sent with the naked eye, it requires a 7x50 binoculars at a minimum to be able to see it. Tadpoles Nebula is not a Messier Object and doesn't have a Messier Number.Tadpoles Nebula's Visual (Apparent) Brightness is 10.00 Magnitude. Anything with a magnitude of less than 6.5 can be seen with visual aids. The lower the number, the brighter the object is to see. Looking without a visual aid, the nebula can not be seen from Earth.

Tadpoles Nebula distance to Earth is an approximation as we don't know the exact distance. It is based on calculations and observations. The currently recognized distance is roughly 19,640.00 light-years. As we know the distance, we can calculate how long it will take to get to Tadpoles Nebula. In the list below, I have calculated how long it will take to get to Tadpoles Nebula in a variety of speeds.

******************************************************************************IC 405 (also known as the Flaming Star NebulaSH 2-229, or Caldwell 31) is an emission and reflection nebula[1] in the constellation Auriga north of the celestial equator, surrounding the bluish, irregular variable star AE Aurigae. It shines at magnitude +6.0. Its celestial coordinates are RA 05h 16.2m dec +34° 28′.[2] It is located near the emission nebula IC 410, the open clusters M38 and M36, and the K-class star Iota Aurigae. The nebula measures approximately 37.0' x 19.0', and lies about 1,500 light-years away from Earth.[2] It is believed that the proper motion of the central star can be traced back to the Orion's Belt area.[2] The nebula is about 5 light-years across.[1]
