Taken over several nights: Aug 20, Aug 27, Sept 19-21, and Oct 13, 19, 2020.

Dominating the image is MBM 54, a high latitude molecular cloud (integrated flux nebula) in Pegasus. It is located about 900 light years from Earth. Near the image center is NGC 7497, a spiral galaxy located much farther distant at 59 million light years away.

REVISION: Test reprocess to evaluate Russell Croman's new noise reduction PixInsight plug-in "NoiseXTerminator" plus added some earlier missing ASI 2600MC data which was used to provide color stars. Previously processed with only the ASI 1600MM which created havoc with large bright stars. Some odd color variants of some OSC blue stars, but definitely more pleasing to the eye. Also, noise reduction plug-in is a real game changer when dealing with faint IFN - some amount of noise was kept in the image. It seems like the IFN structure appears smoother and actually shows some depth in certain areas.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
