I've had the mirrors on this scope since I was 17 yrs old (1981) when it was a big blue Coulter Odyssey1. I started with Kodachrome and shooting the moon. 20 years went by and I got some tracking motors for it. Once imaging became digital and results were instant, I wanted more out of this beast! I was able to refigure the primary mirror by James Mulherin at OMI where he was able to do miracles with this glass and double the strehl ratio. I have since replaced the secondary with a larger Ostahowski-Optics flat. I always wanted to put these optics on an eq mount, but technology and money just weren't available...and it was so heavy! ...until recently I got an EQ6R and made a super light weight truss shell for the mirrors. Now, with a modded camera and a custom oversize secondary, I am able to finally do what I have always wanted since I was a kid...A dream come true and I am continuing to learn new things every day! God is good!
Soli Deo Gloria!
