Hi, let me introduce myself here for quick!
I’m Florian, currently a astrophysics student from Potsdam (Germany) and I would rather say, that (also according to the amount of money I already spent in this hobby *ouch!*) astrophysics and astrophotography is more than just a hobby for me.
It all started with a cheap and shabby scope, that allowed me a closer look to the moon and Jupiter with its four companions. It is sheer impressive to see those worlds and you know they are thousands of millions of kilometers away. Just fascinating!
After the first scope broke, it was time for an upgrade. Now my 10’’ Skywatcher Newton with an EQ6-Mount for visual purposes, stepped into the footprints of its predecessor.
It’s still the heart of my Little All-sky Mobile Astro-Observatory. Or for short: The LAMA-Observatory. (You know, it's all about the acronyms...)
The last step by now was, when I lastly started to make use of a camera and started astrophotography. It just opens up so unbelievably many opportunities and makes the “invisible” finally visible.
There are just too many things in our dynamic cosmos that want to be discovered!
Thats why astronomy will never ever get boring!
Stay interested and clear skies everybody!
