I've been interested in astronomy since I was a kid and built a 6" reflecting telescope in my teens, grinding the mirror and sourcing the parts at the local planetarium. During the busy years when I was in school and travelling I pulled away from the hobby, but renewed my interest in 1999 when my wife bought me an ETX90 for Christmas. I started doing astrophotography in 2008. In my former residence in northern British Columbia I built a backyard roll-off-roof observatory and sold astrophotos at a local bookstore under the name Luminous Cosmos Astrophotography. I retired to Nova Scotia in 2019 and hope to re-build my observatory in the summer of 2023. I'm currently reprocessing old images, and creating new ones, and will post them here as an online repository. I look forward to interacting with the astrophotography community through the Forum interface.
