My parents presented me, at age 11, with a Tasco 3 inch reflector telescope, which I used to death. But life makes pursuing some hobbies difficult. In 1978 I tried to resume my hobby of astronomy, but my obligations cut that short. Not until November of 2013, did I try again, and now that I am retired, I can pursue my first hobby. I am basically a visual astronomy person, but of late, have become interested in astrophotography. Being very a non-techy sort, there is a very steep learning curve I am going through, especially with computers and software. But what the heck, I have the rest of my life to learn.
