Sharpless Catalog A collection by Chris Bailey

This is my collection of the Sharpless HII (emission) objects. In all there are 312 Sharpless objects. Many are not easily visible from the UK limiting the number of viable targets to under 200. Lots of them are very faint, requiring long integrated exposures to get any visible signal at all. There are many positional errors in the catalog so framing is challenge.

As the catalog is a list of Hydrogen emission objects, I have imaged most of them in monochrome as I feel this is closest to what Stewart Sharpless would have seen on the Palomar Survey plates when he was compiling it.
