My interest in astronomy began as a kid with the 1957 launch of Sputnik. Over the years, I built/owned several telescopes, but career and family left little time to pursue astronomy. After retiring, I took up the hobby again and have been exploring astrophotography seriously since 2020. The digital technological revolution puts so many more tools in my hands today compared to years ago, and the possibilities truly are amazing. I am learning a great deal by studying the work of accomplished astrophotographers on Astrobin.
