I work in the field of earthquake engineering research and have been an amateur photographer since the late 1970s. I only became interested in astrophotography in 2020 and find it fascinating. Processing astrophotographs have many things in common with processing earthquake records. I live in San Diego, California in a Bortle 5 zone (SQM: 19.8 and NELM: 5.9). Most of the images shown here have been taken together with my friend Dan Radulescu.
