I became interested in astrophotography on a trip to Utah in Sep 2019. Almost every night my son and I would find a different location to take pictures of the Milky Way. After that I bought an iOptron Skyguider Pro and it was downhill from there. My other hobbies include nature photography, hiking, rock climbing, aquariology, and flying RC helicopters and airplanes. I’ve been a manager in a research spectroscopy group for the past 16 years and am really enjoying getting back into the more hands-on aspects of optics and data processing.
