Deep Sky West: Planewave CDK 17 & FLI ML16200 A collection by Scott Stirling

The Planewave CDK 17 (around $22,500 USD new) is a 17 inch (432mm) diameter aperture and 2,939mm (115.7 inches) focal length Corrected Dall-Kirkham (CDK) telescope. It has primary and secondary mirrors, making its focal length around triple its physical length of 42 inches (1067 mm).

The FLI ML16200 CCD (around $12,000 USD new) is based on a Kodak KAF-16803 sensor with a 4096 X 4096 array of 9μm pixels.

Their combination yields images at a pixel scale of 0.635 arcseconds/pixel.
