Deep Sky West: AP RH-305 & SBIG STX-16803 A collection by Scott Stirling

The AstroPhysics Riccardi-Honders Astrograph ($22,420 USD as of 2024) has a 305mm (12 inches) diameter aperture and a 21 inches (53cm) tube with primary and secondary mirrors resulting in a focal length of 1,159mm (45.6 inches) at f/3.8.

The SBIG STX-16803 CCD uses Kodak's KAF-16803 sensor with a 4096 x 4096 array of 9µm pixels.

The combination yields images at a scale of 1.66 arcseconds/pixel.
