Steven Labkoff is a physician leader and an astrophotographer. He is currently the global head of Clinical and Healthcare Informatics at Quantori, a bioinformatics consultancy. He also holds a master's of photography from the PPA. His hobby of astrophotography is all about data - signal-to-noise data issues, to be specific. He started his astrophotography journey when he was a boy, trying to take photos of Jupiter through his 60mm backyard scope. Today he has his own gear and is an active member of the Westport Astronomical Society in Westport, CT. He loves to image DSOs, especially colorful nebulae and galaxies. When the weather is not as good, he will focus on macro photography targets - such as insects... You can see his work at www.LuminantPix.com.
