An engineering night on a RC10 rig

Description

I have had this RC10 for several years and have never gotten it to work correctly. Recently purchased a H.G. Laser and with the help of several YouTube videos, I think I have the collimation under control. I also have recently done a compete break-down of the Celestron CGX-L mounting. It was so bad I actually had to use a cylinder hone tool on the RA housing and polish the RA main gear. (it was marred by the RA housing). The mounting is working great now and has been used with my WO 132FLT at 915mm with great success. However, I want to move the WO 132FLT to a CGX mounting that I am currently rebuilding and use the CGX-L for the RC10 OTA.  At F/8 (2000mm) F.L. and twice the weight of the refractor, I might be asking too much from this mount.

The complete rig is:
Orion RC10 with AstroWerks custom Dew Shield
Feather Touch 3" focuser and focus motor
Pegasus Astro Rotator
ZWO ASI071mcPro  Camera with filter drawer
SW72ED guide scope with ZWO focus motor
ASI120mini Guide camera
Celestron CGX-L mounting
IOptron Tri Pier
A mini pc connected by Wi-Fi to the house and accessed by Remote Desktop
Tool box with a 3D printer power supply for 12VDC to mount and OTA

Its time to put a pin in this RIG before Galaxy season gets into full swing.
