Description

Almost finished with ironing out the last details on the new mount. The NYX 101 did unfortunately not work out as I had hoped and the next best solution was the CEM70 and why not add "EC to it...
I imaged the Lion Nebula during the second and third night of testing the mount. Unfortunately the weather this year has really not been so great in SoCal compared to the past years. I had hoped to add an additional night to the acquisition but  I am facing clouds again. The seeing conditions have neither been great so far... average at the best. The data was processed in PixInsight in the Hubble palette SHO and the stars in HSO.

The Lion Nebula or Sh2-132 is a large emission nebula located on the southern edge of the constellation Cepheus. It is approx. 10400 LY away from Earth in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way.
