I decided to use the AstroSurface software instead of RegiStax by watching a presentation video on the Internet.
I was pleasantly surprised by the intuitive operation and the quality of the tools offered.
Two main functions are of clear interest:
- Deconvolution Wiener, which proposes this operation from the use of an artificial star or a real star captured just after the planetary video, with the same parameters. This is an interesting approach because it is based on Airy's task, so it takes into account optical defects and atmospheric agitation. Noise control is done simultaneously.
- Deconvolution wavelets 16-bit, with precise control for both sharpening details and noise appearance.
Version B shows a significant improvement compared to the two versions, as if the image on the left were corrected by a focus.
