Description

I fought with fog and clouds a lot of the night. A lot of the light frames that I used for my image were less than ideal. However I was able to process an image. I got a new scope for Christmas and I was determined to try it out. I am definitely a fan of small aperture ED glass refractors.

My image is a little rough looking for my taste and I may reprocess it later when my eyes and brain have rested. However this was the best I could do tonight.

Description: I decided to completely reprocess my image today. It was late last night when I was processing the image and I was tired. I must have reprocessed the image 5 or 6 times. As I was stretching the image today to bring out more nebulosity I noticed another nebula coming out to the left of Barnard's Loop. To say it was dim would be an overstatement. I worked on it a couple of hours today and was able to bring out enough of the nebulosity to where I could make out that the nebula was LDN the Boogyman Nebula. This is the first time that I've captured LDN 1622 in an image. It's pitiful compared to a lot of the images I see on Astrobin of this object but it is the Boogyman Nebula.
