After adding the ASI 294 MM late last year, I wanted to go back and add Lum data using the RASA8 to several of my captures from 2020. Every time I add the lum and improved resolution with ideal sampling of the combo, I just fall over in my office chair. It's fun to see my processing improvement, but the camera has made such a fantastic improvement to my imaging. The solution of M33 to see so many stars and nebulae in detail in another galaxy is truly an incredible experience.

Definitely worth the time to look at full resolution and the different cropped versions.

Lum ASI 294 MM 45x180" (2h 15') (gain: 120.00) -17C bin 1x1

Ha ASI 1600 MM: 55x240" (3h 40') (gain: 139.00) -17C bin 1x1
OSC ASS 294 MC 80x180" (4h) (gain: 117.00) -17C bin 1x1

M33, is our second largest galaxy in our local group next to Andromeda. It is located 3 million light years from the Milky Way Galaxy and 750K light years from Andromeda Galaxy. The galaxy is estimated to 50K light years across and contain 30-40 billion stars.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
