Description

So last night the seeing conditions were terrible.  I was dealing with smoke from Canadian forest fires, high winds, and an almost full Moon.  I couldn't get plate solving to work with my filter, even with a longer exposure and higher gain.  So I got brave, and took out the filter, and went clear!  Well, it worked.  Guiding was terrible.  My images were all over the place, but Pixinsight came to the rescue and put it all together.  What an amazing software!  I wanted to go back to see how the super nova was doing.  Still there, still looks pretty bright.  I am curious for anyone who reads these things.  Does anyone know if blue super nova's are common?  Blue is super high temp as I understand it.  I mean it is an explosion, but what kind of star would produce a blue super nova?  kindly comment if you happen to know anything about this.  Keep looking up, and clear skies!  at least clearer than what I had last night!
