Description

Every morning I shoot sunrise but knowing we had the potential for some good meteors and no moon I decided to get up extra early and capture this shot. This was created as a timelapse sequence but I took each shot with a meteor and blended them into this image. The location is Putty Beach about 60km north of Sydney on the NSW Central Coast. It's a beautiful spot in the national park. Being so close to Sydney does have some light pollution but not so much that it spoils the image. This is a blend of about 20 images taken over the course of 2 hours. I took one of the middle images as the base as the LMC and SMC were nicely placed.  Shot with a Nikon D5 and the 20mm f1.4 Sigma Art lens. Each exposure was 15-seconds and ISO3200.
