Description

NGC891 is a breathtaking edge-on spiral galaxy with a slightly brighter cental bulge and a heavy dust lane that is particulrly thick andprominent against the bulge.
Angular Diameter: 13.5'x2.5'
Radial Velocity: 660 km/s.
Distance: 30 million light years .
diameter: 139000 light years.
The first 31 luminosity pictures were registered on september 22 between 0h25 and 2h05 with an average Half Field Radius (HFR) of 3.1 pixels (1.7") and the last 9 luminosity pictures were registered on 23/06 between 0h06 and 0h33 and have an average HFR of 4.1 pixels (2.3"). The FWHM of the resulting image is 5.4 pixels, i.e. 3". For a perfectly gaussian image, FWHL should be equal to HFD = 2HFR
