Description

I travelled to my new dark sky location to get a final shot at comet C72021 A1 Leonard. Unfortunately, because of technical reasons the comet observation failed. After the comet had set, and before running out of juice in my laptop, I managed to get 30min on the Pleiades. This is the result. I definitely need to go back during the next New Moon period and spend more time on this cluster.
From this dark site,  the f/2.8 Sharpstar 15028HNT hypergraph paired with the senstive ZWO ASI2600MC Pro CMOS camera make it easy to get a nice deep image of this cluster in a short time. Since the Pleiades are low on the sky as viewed from our 30 deg southern latitude, it is hard to image from my home observatory, in the light-polluted La Serena. Like the comet, its the kind of target that most benefits by imaging from a dark site.
