This was a bit of an experiment.

I bought a field flattener and wanted to try it out. Plus, I also bought a ZWO Duo 2-band filter which I hadn't used so wanted to see how it was going to perform when the moon was high and bright in the sky (83% yesterday). This filter has a 12nm band covering Ha, and a 35nm band covering OIII.

I barely cropped this image - just a thin line around the edges to eliminate the stacking artifacts. I wanted to preserve the galaxy NGC6332 that is in the bottom right corner.

I will capture more data to try and improve it a bit. I'd like to get rid of the green tinge around the center of the cluster, plus I have a very red-looking star top right - that's HD157010 which has a B-V color index of 1.26 - an M4 spectral type which is orange-red, but I'm sure it's not supposed to be that red!

Meanwhile though I was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out. The field looks flat, and I didn't have to struggle to remove any gradients.

Revision B: A big thank you to James R Potts who downloaded my first image and used a Photoshop tool called Actions Synthesize Green to reduce the green tinge around the cluster and bring out the blues more clearly. I don't own Photoshop but I was inspired to go back to PixInsight to find a way to revise the image - I discovered a tool I hadn't used before called ColorSaturation which I used to produce the same effect.
