Description

A similar set up to my last image, less the SCT reducer, this image is narrow band Ha and OIII using my Optolong L-eNhance filter. Longer  integration time is needed using this filter. To be honest I'm not sure that there is much more detail visible, but I was surprised to see a little emission in the running man a predominantly reflection nebula.

Title: Using SIRIL v1.06 to pre-and post-process

Description: I love the colour and extra background I've been able to pull out with my rudimentary knowledge of SIRIL. Dark frames do not seem to have worked properly, perhaps because I processed all exposures together - although it appeared to put these in layers. I'm sure it is possible in SIRIL, but using a similar approach, Startools has done a much better job of taming the highlights and extracting detail from the core. Comments / thoughts welcome.

Title: Pulling out the detail with Startools

Description: I have taken my SIRIL image and used HDR in Startools to pull out detail in the core, with a little sharpening. Photometric colour calibration in SIRIL has allowed me to reveal real star colour for the first time, when using an L-eNhance filter - nice.

Title: Alternative colour scheme

Description: Processed in Siril using basic background neutralisation and colour calibration, Astrosharp, Starnet removal and recomposition using 'RGB' stars. I like the vibrant blues.
