Description

This was "one" test shot on 6/11/19 to see how the collimation was doing on my Takahashi Mewlon 250CRS. This was at prime focus of the Mewlon. I used a Canon 6D MKII for this image and used Photoshop to enhance the contrast. The exposure was 1/60 second at ISO 100. This scope was way out of alignment and I used the Takahashi collimation scope to align the secondary mirror indoors. Further testing revealed that the scope was still well out so I adjusted the primary with the collimation scope indoors. I then took this test shot and I was pleased at how well the scope was coming into collimation. Zoom in and you can see there is a lot of detail there so I imagine I can use the scope now to do some DSO's. For any of you who have been told not to adjust a Mewlon (Dall-Kirkham) primary...well...you can adjust it. I just followed the Takahashi manual.
