Description

The Sculptor Galaxy (aka the Silver Coin, Silver Dollar Galaxy, NGC 253) is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the southern constellation Sculptor. This is one of the brightest galaxies in the sky and can even be spotted through binoculars. Due to its frantic star formation, it is also designated as a starburst galaxy. This image has just 1 hour of total exposure time.
