Description

Reprocessed with new data.  ASI2600MC first light data taken on Oct 14, 2020 with additional ASI2600MM Lum data taken on Nov 8, 2021.

The plate solved image shows asteroid 784 Pickeringia where no star, asteroid or trail shows in either the OSC or Lum stack.

NGC 772 is an unbarred spiral galaxy in Aries. It is surrounded by several satellite galaxies - including the dwarf elliptical NGC 770  - whose tidal forces have caused the emergence of a single elongated outer spiral arm. Halton Arp described NGC 772 as a "spiral galaxy with a small high-surface brightness companion."  NGC 772 is about twice the size of the Milky Way and is about 130 million light years from Earth.
