Description

M13, The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, from my backyard in the DFW suburbs, taken across several nights due to intermittent clouds and heavy smoke from New Mexico Hermit Peak and Black fires. For multiple reasons, glad to see they've started to get those under control.

There was an unintentional ~0.5 degrees shift in my CCD rotation during this week and I was unsure if my original flat calibration frames could still be applied to the whole data set, given the rotation shift. I gave it a try and it seemed to work out ok for the most part. I notice a few artifacts, but not sure if that's because of the CCD rotation, newly introduced dust, or just bad stacking/processing skills (I'm winging it here!). I think I need to get used to taking flat frames after each session, as good practice.
