Description

Starburst galaxy IC 10 is a member of the Local Group of galaxies, lying some 2-3 million light years away. Estimates indicate that it contains more fast-living Wolf-Rayet stars than our own Magellanic Clouds, an admirable trait. This dwarf system, 5,000 light years in diameter, is a faint visual target in large-aperture telescopes, but images very nicely with stacks of 5-minute subs.
