Description

I have long been fascinated by the sky of the deep South, with its mysterious IFN and dark nebulae.  I tried to put together the various images I had previously taken into a mosaic, but this proved impossible. So I set out to re-take the data in one of my favourite RA ranges, around 12h, containing the Dark Doodad and two of the most impressive IFN complexes in Chameleon.

While my general incompetence with mosaics is put to the most severe test near the pole, I was not unhappy with the way this turning out.

3 panes 48 x 300 each.
