Description

NGC6543, also known as the Cat's Eye Nebula, is a planetary nebula in Draco. It is very rich in structure (even more so if you take one of the Hubble images), but also quite difficult to process owing to its very bright core. This is my first attempt on this beautiful object. The  nebula is mainly processed based on HSO narrowband data using the dynamic combination also known as ForaxX (the discord pseudo of www.thecoldestnight.com).
I like this way to combine NB as, IMO, it harmonizes better with RGB broadband colors than the commonly adopted SHO. The stars are mainly taken from the LRGB image. There is also a beautiful little barred galaxy in the field, NGC 6552, which I sharpened a bit with deconvolution using the L image.

Data were taken on April 11, 12, 17, on May 14, 15, 18 , and on June  4.
