As off work for holidays was able to take advantage of the early morning clear skies yesterday
Up at 3am set up my Orion pretty quick (mount is perm outside now)
Software all loaded up no probs, very quick adjustment of polar alignment as a tiny bit off
Computer decided to turn its self off for no apparent reason twice
EAF wasn't working properly , after about half an hour worked out some cables were catching
Transparency wasn't too good , guiding not brilliant as a result
Left it all running and went back to bed , terrible night mares of scope being smashed to bits by various people !
Couldn't use about a third of the subs cause of clouds / guiding issues - stars not very good
Real battle to process due light pollution
BUT having said all this
Really pleased with this for such a short integration time, about ten times better than what I got with my DSLR and light pollution filter ... the short exposure times seem to work well ! Pleased to seem some of the smaller galaxies in the background
