Description

Location : Backyard Sydney, Australia
No Moon
Sky Glow : Bortle 7 to 8 City Suburban
Conditions : Poor seeing and transparency ( high humidity , high temperature 29 deg C or 84 fahrenheit at 11.00pm ) Stars scintillating ( Sydney was experiencing a rare early Autumn  2 week heat wave with daytime temperatures of 35 deg C to 38 deg C )
Telescope : 6" f6 GSO Newtonian Reflector
Mount : Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro
Imaging Camera : ZWO 2600MC , cooled to - 9.0 C maxed out , Gain 101
TS Optics GPU Coma Corrector
No Filters ( only internal protective window UV/IR Cut of 2600MC )
122 x 60 sec dithered guided Subs ( 2 hrs )
40 x Flats
60 x Bias
PHD2 Multistar Guiding ( 0.70 to 0.80 arc sec total )
Goto and Tracking : EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
Deep Sky Stacker
Processed in Startools V1.8 ( Data set loaded via centre option " Linear with Bayer not white balanced"  )

Due to conditions and heavy LP ,  2 hours of broadband data ( 60 sec lucky imaging ) was no where near enough to produce a quality image but managed to process some sort of image in the end. I was hoping for 4 to 6 hours or more over a couple of nights. The heat was relentless ...........
