Description

SH2-183 It is located in the northern part of the constellation Cassiopeia, a few degrees northeast of the star κ Cassiopeia. It is a remote large H II region, located at a distance of 22820 light years. There is not much information on this nebula. There is only 7 images on AB that I could find that focus specifically on this nebula. I was looking for something obscure and a decent Ha target as the only clear skies I had were of course during a full moon. This target turned out to be extremely faint but hides some interesting structures. With a larger aperture scope, some of these finer details may be discovered for the motivated imager to go after. I like this target due to its obscurity and mystery, being so far away and not much known about it. This is not the most visually stunning nebula, but interesting in it own mystery.

Any ideas for a nickname for this nebula?
Almost looks like some kind of demonic creature (SH2-183) shooting out his hooked tongue(SH2-181) trying to grab a floating soul(LBN614).....sorry.....Halloween is close!
The Demon Nebula?.....

Thanks for looking!
CS
Dan.
