Description

IC 2574, also known as Coddington's Nebula, is a dwarf spiral galaxy discovered by American astronomer Edwin Foster Coddington in 1898.  This small galaxy is located in Ursa Major, 11 million light years away, and it contains very active star forming areas. Its low surface brightness makes image processing quite challenging and requires a long exposure time. Data collected between april 8, 2020 and april 16, 2020  with Meade LX200 10" ACF opened at f/10 (f=2500mm) and ccd CP8-MS (aka QHY9).
