Description

Also known as the Witch Head Nebula...a little late for Halloween.  But this is my first successful attempt at imaging and processing a faint reflection nebula!  StarXTerminator and Alan Block's star De-Emphasis are game changers for me to process such.  I shot at my bortle 3+ location, Mt Pinos, without any filter!

Interestingly, this nebula is believed to be an ancient supernova remnant illuminated by Rigel.  I also love the two distant galaxies that show up!   Sadly, I don't see the witch's head no matter which orientation 😵‍💫 ...I'm flunking the Rorschach test again 🤪
