Description

Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) is currently a Magnitude 17.4 as it remains in Ursa Major for now. It will be in this constellation for the next few months. This comet will become more visible toward the end of this year and should become visible to the naked eye in Ursa Major around late July as it approaches the sun.

This image I took one month and four days after I took my initial image of it last month. I can plainly see it is getting brighter with the core becoming more visible. Some gases are appearing off the head as it becomes more visible. I imaged it with my Chroma Luminance LoGlow light pollution filter in windy conditions. Had to deal with a little star bloat due to the wind with good seeing conditions but it came out good. I will beging shooting color of it starting in July.

Enjoy!
