Description

Captured in August 2020 but just reprocessed with the H-SOO palette.

It's interesting how Melotte 15 and part of the Fish Head Nebula look enveloped by a white blanket of Oxygen, so white that even the saturation process doesn't give it any particular color.

The Hubble Palette version ( https://astrob.in/6b1een/0/ ) shows this effect but not as strong as in this picture.

The ring artifact on the brightest stars is probably caused by a starnet mask I've used to try protect the stars during stretch. It was a test, maybe I should have blurred/convolute the mask... better next time!

Also the image shows a gradient on the top right, that's my beloved OIII 8mn filter from Baader. I know I can desaturate or find a solution for it but I prefer to keep it as is, to remind me and urge me to change it.
